We had a memorable stay while walking down to the Douro. The location is superb, allowing us easy access to great food options and a lovely supermarket nearby. The fresh breakfast, especially the croissants, was a highlight for our family.

In my wife’s opinion, the room was cramped and lacked basic amenities. An improvement for families would be having a small fridge for snacks.

Notably, the area surrounding the hotel had an unkempt appearance with street cleanliness issues, and we found a strong odor in the entrance that detracted from the initial welcome. Issues with room bookings also arose, leading to confusion over charges and the allocation of rooms with lingering smells of smoke.

Had an amazing group trip with friends! We walked down to the banks of the Douro and explored some great local restaurants nearby. The location was perfect, very close to everything we wanted to see. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was super friendly. Breakfast in the café below was a great way to start our mornings. 10/10 would recommend!

We did have a small issue, as one of our friends was allocated a room for differently abled guests that wasn't very clean, which was inconvenient. Took away from an otherwise great stay.
